When choosing a bagging line you must remember this machine will control your production output. This should be a positive outcome, meeting your desired goals.
Too often I have seen a very negative result on production output, due to a lack of understanding of the importance of how your product reacts during the bagging process.
Important Product Points:
Know all the product types if there is more than one to be packed.
Are they dense and free of air before packing.
Do they aerate during the production process.
Are they free flowing
Are they sticky and move with difficulty
What is the product density
Are the products hygroscopic
Once you have a comprehensive list of all of the products properties, what about the environment that the Bagging line will be situated in.
Inside a closed building with low humidity and moderate temperatures.
Inside a building that is hot and humid.
Inside a building that is cold and humid.
These are important factors to consider and understand before you go to the machine manufacturer.
From a technical perspective, what environmental protection does the bag need to provide for the product.
From your company marketing what is the expected material for the bag to be sold in. Paper, paper with inner protective layers against moisture, plastic.
Do you require open mouth or valve bags.
After you have all of this information and possibly more, only then can you start to talk to the Bagging Machine supplier.
