Which Bagging Machine to Choose?
First important factor is the choice of bag material and bag type.
This first step of bag type is along with all the product data critical in identifying the correct machine for your manufacturing packing requirements.
Type – Valve paper sack. These are usually multi-layer made with tiny holes to allow air flow. The bagging machine supplier will need to know all details of the bag construction, bag valve construction and design and the airflow of the bag, plus the proposed dimensions of the bag.
If the choice is plastic the bagging machine supplier will look carefully at your product data as this bag type may not be suitable for your products. You can go for second opinions but do not ignore professional technical feedback as this may prove to be very unwise.
Type – Open Mouth. If paper, these are also normally multi-layer and also may come with tiny holes to release product air entrapped during the mixing process. This can lead to pallet product settlement over a period of storage. Again, the supplier will require the proposed bag dimensions and all the technical properties.
If the choice is plastic, then provide bag dimensions, type of plastic to be used, with tiny air release holes or air valve release point. Entrapped air needs to escape the bag to ensure a stable pallet. With plastic bags entrapped air that cannot escape can create an almost ballon effect on the bag.
Now you have product technical information and bagging type requirement and bag technical specifications. This puts you in a positive position to have technical discussion with the bagging machine supplier about the various machine options available to you.
