You have agreed with Marketing their preferred bag material of construction, paper, aluminised paper or plastic (PE, PP, PE coated paper) laminated raffia, as a general point. You may need to come back to this subject depending on the bagging machine requirements. So, keep marketing involved so the understand all the limitations. If after a review it can be seen with the present set-up you have maximized output, but it was noted that with modifications you can increase the output. If the additional capacity is not required today but would be required in the future, ensure that your bagging machine choice is not a block to this expansion. Choose a system that can be expended or if possible, buy additional capacity in the machine. Cost of course can block this decision.

• Open Mouth
• Valve

Marketing may wish to stay with industry standards eg. Valve bag for construction products; or move to Open mouth bag. Whichever is chosen ensure you have the bag cost for a reputable supplier and that the cost is acceptable for your organisation.
